Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Planet Earth: A Symphonic Journey

The U.S. Premeire, Planet Earth, will be an Ode to Mother Earth: Johan de Meij’s Symphony No. 3 PLANET EARTH will be accompanied by a breathtakingly beautiful film, produced by the composers’ wife, Dyan Machan.
The concert will open with Gustav Holst’s famous Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity, and legendary trombone-player Joseph Alessi (Principal trombone of the New York Philharmonic) will bring an Ode to the instrument with De Meij’s T-Bone Concerto, consisting of three movements: Rare, Medium & Well Done.
