The Wurst Haus is a smaller version of the well-known Student Prince & The Fort Restaurant in Springfield, MA, famous for its German-style food and beer. The restaurant will offer beer from Europe and other parts of the world. The name is borrowed from the German-themed concession the Student Prince has run at The Big E for the last four years.
The Wurst Haus is located at the former site of the Pleasant Street Theater, at 27 Pleasant St.
Bean Restaurant Group owns several other restaurants in Massachusetts and Connecticut including the Student Prince; Johnny’s Bar & Grill, Johnny’s Tap Room, the Halfway House, the Boathouse and Iya Sushi & Noodle Kitchen in South Hadley; Johnny’s Tavern in Amherst; Johnny’s Roadside Diner in Hadley; and McLadden’s locations in West Hartford and Simsbury, Connecticut.
