Mattoon Street Springfield

Herringbone brick sidewalks, stately London Plane shade trees, and cast iron ornamental street lights all contribute to the charm of this designated historic district, unique in the Pioneer Valley. The Mattoon Street area offers a variety of housing. Most are attached brick townhouses built in the 1870s and 1880s, but some are detached wood-frame houses.
