Western Mass Beer Trail
Hop on the Western Mass Beer Trail for a day or evening full of fun. Each of the breweries featured is special in its own way and they all have plenty of snacks to go along with their brews. Many are now scheduling entertainment on weekends, so check out our Trail and make a plan.
Springfield Museums is home to five world-class museums, including the Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum and the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden, all under a single admission. There’s always a new exhibit to visit too! Come by in May and visit the ‘Hall of Heroes’ which brings visitors into the world of their favorite superheroes, crime-stoppers, gadgets and more through immersive experiences.
Basketball Hall of Fame
The Basketball Hall of Fame is the world’s one and only shrine to the sport which was discovered right here in Springfield. The Hall has recently completed a $20 million renovation and features state-of-the-art exhibits as well as memorabilia from the greatest who have ever played the game.
Eric Carle Museum
The Eric Carle Museum features plenty of art from the beloved children’s book author and illustrator it’s named for but there’s so much more! Now through July, the Carle has a special exhibition “Picture the Dream: The Story of the Civil Rights Movement through Children’s Books”. This exhibition is the first of its kind to delve into the events, people, and themes of the civil rights movement as told through picture books.
CT Science Center
CT Science Center is nine floors of educational fun! Currently the museum is featuring ‘Dinosaurs around the World’. This exhibit takes you back in time on a dinosaur adventure and a tour of an Earth very different from today. With advanced animatronics, a multi-layered narrative, fossils, authentic casts, cutting-edge research, and immersive design elements, you’ll experience the Age of Reptiles as it roars to life!
Yankee Candle Village
Yankee Candle Village is so much more than a typical candle store! This attraction has 90,000 square feet of retail space and hundreds of popular fragrances. Stop by Wax Works where you and the kids can make a wax mold of your hand, create your own custom jar candle and dip your own critter. Next stop – The Bavarian Christmas Village where it snows indoors all year round.
