The Westfield Starfires Summer Classic, catered by White Lion Brewing Co., will be taking place at the Walker Memorial Grandstand baseball park in Springfield’s Forest Park, on July 30. At 1:30 p.m., the Frank Manzi Band will perform, while Starfires players give clinic lessons to kids in the community.
Starfires players will conduct a skills clinic for youth playing in the John L. Sullivan League and any other children interested in participating at 1:30 p.m. The John L. Sullivan League feature teams from throughout the Pioneer Valley with age groups ranging from tee-ball to the 16 and under Mickey Mantle Division as well as a late-summer wooden bat league.
After the clinic, the Starfires will be battling against the Pittsfield Suns at 4 p.m. Both play in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. The Summer Classic, including parking, will be completely free to the community!
Refreshments will be available for purchase.

The Westfield Starfires, members of Futures Collegiate Baseball League, play at Bullens Field in Westfield. The FCBL is a wood-bat, collegiate summer league featuring the top college baseball players in the country.

The Futures Collegiate Baseball League will be celebrating its 13th season in 2023. The Futures League looks to maintain its momentum as New England’s most popular summer collegiate league into another decade of play. The Futures League is third nationally among summer collegiate leagues in terms of attendance.
