George Washington was revered in 1830s New England and his birthday was widely celebrated with balls and toasts. On February 25th, join us at select times in the Bullard Tavern for some historical waltzes, dancing, and a discussion of ballroom etiquette.

10:00 a.m. A Modern Dance & Tune, The Waltz: Listen to a selection of historical waltzes & learn how this popular music changed the way people viewed music (at the Bullard Tavern, Building #3).
10:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m. Fashion Delights: Learn about fashion influence in the 1830s. Keep up with what is in style (in the Asa Knight Store, Building #11).
11:00 a.m. Ballroom Etiquette: Learn about the forms of ceremony or decorum used in the entertainment of dancing during the 1830s (in the Bullard Tavern, Building #3).
2:00 p.m. Washington Birthday Ball: Your company is requested at the Bullard Tavern to amuse yourself in the civil recreation of dancing (Building #3).
