The Big E Is Right Around the Corner
The most wonderful time of year is almost here… and no, we’re not talking about the holidays, we’re talking about The Big E! From September 15th to October 1st, The Big E will take over the Eastern States Exposition offering a wide range of activities for the whole family. Here are some of the new and returning things to look forward to:
Some of the biggest names from the past and present, as well as those on their way to the top, have played before thousands at The Big E Arena, sponsored by Truly Hard Seltzer. Sing, dance and sway to your favorite acts underneath the stars at this open-air venue. This year’s lineup includes icons like John Fogerty, Zedd, and Chris Young.
Free Shows at the Court of Honor Stage
The Court of Honor State, sponsored by MattressFrim, offers entertainment all day, every day! Free performances run from morning to night and this year will include Molly Hatchet, Dokken, Vertical Horizon, and many more!
Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Celebration
With West Springfield and the Dingle Peninsula sharing a Sister City relationship and the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Western Mass is known for its Irish Roots. Celebrate the Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day during opening weekend with Celtic Angels & Gaelic Storm. You can also visit the Dingle Pavilion in the Young Building for some of Ireland’s finest handcrafted products, and the cultural and educational connections of County Kerry and West Springfield.
The Avenue of States
The Avenue of States features impressive replicas of each New England state’s original statehouse sitting on land actually owned by that state. This is no ordinary state fair! It’s the only six-state fair in the country.
The Food Fair
There’s nothing like Fair Food! From farm-fresh to deep-fried, the Big E will have it. This year’s lineup includes new spots like Bacon Bomb, Waffleicious, Dolly’s Honky Tonk, Top of the Crust, and so many more.
The Agricultural Showcase at the Big E is always a highlight! Featuring livestock, giant vegetables, and even an annual butter sculpture, there is something for everyone!
