The UMass Center is a first-in-the-state partnership between the University of Massachusetts and other area institutes of public higher education, providing a central location accessible to each school’s students. Programming offered at the Center—which includes daytime, evening and weekend classes—enables students to pursue continued adult education, professional certification, and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. The Center also provides meeting spaces for hosting events and is a hub for research initiatives that impact the Greater Springfield Community. Providing Pioneer Valley and Northern Connecticut residents with access to an affordable, public higher education is a goal of the university. The UMass Center at Springfield is making “Education Within Reach.”
