Road Trip Idea #1: The Great Outdoors in Western Mass

It’s been a while since you’re taken a road trip but as travel restrictions ease in Massachusetts and gas prices remain low, now is the perfect time to plan your road trip to Western Mass.

Your road trip checklist might look a bit different than it used to so here are a few things to keep in mind:

Be sure to pack enough facemasks for your group. It’s a good idea to also bring hand sanitizer even though you’ll find plenty of sanitizer/handwashing stations when you get here.

Check to see what’s open before you hit the road. Each state has its own phased-in opening plan and you’ll want to be sure to check ExploreWesternMass.com for up-to-date info.

If you’re coming before the end of June, plan on outdoor activities like zip-lining, rafting, hiking, biking, etc. We have tons of outdoor space that doesn’t look like exactly like where you live so it’ll be a nice change of scenery!
