The Bright Nights 25th Anniversary Book -
This year, the Spirit of Springfield celebrates the 25th season of Bright Nights with a commemorative book. Starting in 1995 Bright Nights has been a traditional holiday destination for visitors and locals alike in Western Mass. The book captures the holiday spirit with photos and stories from people who have added Bright Nights to their holiday traditions.
It is available for purchase at the bookshop within the park. Access the gift shop by going through Bright Nights and taking a left after the Seuss Land display. The gift shop also has souvenirs, snacks, Santa and more!
City-of-Firsts Socks -
Leonard Underwood, a Springfield native and owner of UpScale Socks has created a Springfield themed sock. They feature the Springfield skyline and a basketball in the sky, reflecting that Springfield is the birthplace of basketball.
You can purchase your socks at the William C. Regional Visitor Center at 1319 Main Street in Downtown Springfield.
Dr. Seuss License Plate -
The Dr. Seuss license plate can only be purchased through the Springfield Museums website. It is a unique tribute item to Western Mass native Ted Geisel, aka Dr.Seuss. The plate features the mischief-making Cat in The Hat, known to have been Geisel’s favorite character.
The Springfield Museum’s World of Dr. Seuss museum not only pays tribute to his legacy but also is an enrichment center for local youth and attraction in Western Mass. The money gained from the sale of the plates goes directly into supporting the Museums.
