Treat the kids and the rest of the family to an exciting night of NHL hockey AND a great deal!  Deuces Wild Friday happens on February 25th when the Springfield Thunderbirds take on the Hartford Wolfpack at the MassMutual Center.  Where do the deuces come in?  Take advantage of $2 Coors Light drafts, $2 hot dogs, and $2 sodas through the end of 1st period.  Get there early for the MGM Springfield Pregame Concert Series and to get in on the Youth Hockey Jersey giveaway (first 1,000 kids aged 12-and-under).

Springfield Museums
Just because its school vacation week doesn’t mean the little ones don’t need a little bit of educational fun!  Learn about the many innovative discoveries made by Black inventors, create a mini comic strip, and enjoy daily performances by magician Scotty Swan at the Springfield Museums. Enjoy appearances by writer, cartoonist, and filmmaker Joe Young and the Okra Dance Company, and a local author book fair in partnership with Olive Tree Books-n-Voices.

Check out the Springfield Science Museum for Under the Arctic: Digging into Permafrost. This interactive exhibit weaves together real narratives from people whose lives have been impacted by the changing global climate, highlighting the resiliency and ingenuity of everyday communities.  It’s an immersive exhibit experience for all ages.  No visit to the Springfield Museums is complete until you check out the Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum.

Yankee Candle Village
It’s vacation time and the fun is back at Yankee Candle Village!  Celebrate with crafts, activities, and treats. Craft with Santa Monday through Friday, 10am-12pm. then participate in a scavenger hunt around the village.  Stay for pizza lunch or dinner paired with a pint of beer or a glass of wine at Powder Hollow Brewery & Hillside Pizza.

Your kids will find plenty to do at Sonny’s Place in Somers.  They’ve extended their winter hours for February vacation with many activities for kids to enjoy like the Arcade, Laser Tag, Virtual Reality and the Carousel.  Food is available during operating hours, and for the adults, the bar is open on the weekends. Basketball Hall of Fame
The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is a fantastic destination for everyone from lifelong basketball fans to families with children who are just beginning to explore the world’s most popular sport. The Hall of Fame is located in Springfield – “The Birthplace of Basketball”. The Hall features a new exhibit dedicated to the memory of Kobe Bryant and three floors of all new, fully interactive displays.  Open all week for February Vacation!
