Join us for the most anticipated event of the year – the UMass New Year’s Eve Extravaganza! Welcome 2024 by going “Back to the Future” in style, with excitement and endless entertainment. Our 80’s themed celebration will bring you an unforgettable night filled with live music, dancing, a costume contest, award winning cuisine, and a spectacular countdown to midnight.
Guests will arrive to live entertainment by local group, Diamondz, and be treated to a full buffet dinner served by award winning UMass Catering, followed by dancing and a champagne midnight toast. Enjoy the premium bar and take home lasting memories with our thoughtfully designed photo booth, the perfect opportunity to capture the joy of your experience.
After dancing the night away like Prince, no need to drive the “Little Red Corvette” home, guests have the option to stay the night on campus at Hotel UMass, Amherst’s best-rated hotel.
Feel free to tease your hair and dust off your most Glamorous 80’s outfit or take this as the perfect excuse for a Madonna worthy shopping spree! Pre-cocktail hour starts at 8pm. Guests can expect to leave the party with an 80’s themed gift bag in hand, specially created for this event.

Pre-Event Cocktail Reception: 7 to 8PM, Student Union Pre-Function Area; featuring two complimentary drink tickets per guest; cash bar after.
Dinner: 8PM to 12:30AM, Student Union Ballroom.
Ticket Information
Tickets are $125.00 per person. Register early – prices increase to $150.00 per person after December 8! For those who purchase two tickets, enjoy a discounted rate of $200.00 per couple ($250.00 per couple after December 8). Guests may also reserve a room at Hotel UMass for $129.00 per room, per night ($139.00 per room, per night, after December 8).
