Celebrate the achievements of organizations and individuals across Connecticut at the League’s annual Awards of Merit ceremony and reception!
This year we’ll gather at the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks for the awards presentation, followed by a catered reception with a cash bar in one of the museum’s impressive hangars. Sip, nosh, and socialize in the midst of New England’s largest aviation museum. Docents will be available to chat with guests during their self-guided exploration of over 100 aircraft and exhibits, and guests will be able to take advantage of open cockpit and simulator experiences, and to tour museum exhibits. Here are just some of the highlights:
- Climb into the cockpits of the following aircraft: Kaman SH-F Seasprite, F-100A “Super Saber”, P-47D “Thunderbolt”, UH-1B “Iroquois.”
- Experience the F-18 and Redbird flight simulators. Launch from an aircraft carrier or training base and experience the ultimate in free flight air-to-air combat in the F-18, or climb into the pilot’s seat for an ultra-realistic flying experience in the full-motion Cessna Redbird.
- Be one of the first groups to enjoy the newest addition to NEAM’s collection, the F15C Eagle.
- Tour exhibits on the Tuskege Airmen, New England Women in Aviation, and the Kosciuszko Squadron.
