Spend this Mother’s Day creating a beautiful mandala painted rock. Grab your mom, dad, friends, kids, neighbor, or favorite teacher to join you in this fun, meditative painting class. Gretchen Holesovsky will guide you in planning your design and share tips and the use of her tools.
Nature invites us into a creative exchange, finding and painting beautiful rocks connects us to nature and our creative spirit. Come and participate in this creative exchange as we learn with Rock Painter, Gretchen Holesovsky, how to paint mandala patterns on rocks.
Join Gretchen at the Mill District Local Art Gallery on Sunday, May 12 from 1-3pm, in this two-hour workshop. Gretchen will guide you in planning your design, and share tips and the use of her tools to help you create your own beautifully painted rock.
Participants are asked to bring two smooth stones that have enough surface area to paint a pattern. Stones between 3″ and 6″ are a perfect size for this class. Ocean or river stones seem to be the best if you can obtain them.
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained.
All other supplies will be provided. Gretchen will also bring an assortment of rocks to share.
Due to the nature of the intricate Mandala design, this class is not a drop-in class. Ages 16+. 15 spots available!
