Join Belchertown artist, Gretchen Holesovsky, at the Mill District Local Art Gallery this winter for this series of five beginning watercolor classes. In these sessions, participants receive in-depth lecture style instruction on color theory, color mixing, and application techniques and the opportunity to practice the demonstrated techniques. Be ready – this series is jammed packed with information and has homework. Great for beginning watercolor artists who wish to immediately start off their new hobby with solid instruction as well as intermediate artists who wants to deepen their understanding.

Dates: Tuesdays from 10am – 12pm on 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18 and 3/25. April 1 is reserved for makeup class due to weather cancellation.
Classes 1 & 2: Lecture and practice of color theory, color mixing, watercolor techniques, and application techniques.
Classes 3, 4, & 5: Paint a small landscape while practicing techniques for applying and manipulating paint.
Geared toward mature students. Ages 14+ with accompaniment.
Note: Materials are not provided by the instructor. Participants must first sign up for the class and then purchase and bring the required materials.
