Storrowton Village, Maple Harvest Day & Pancake Breakfast

Celebrate all things maple with Storrowton Village Museum at their annual Maple Harvest Day event, March 9! Come help support the Village’s educational programs by enjoying a pancake breakfast served by the West Springfield Lions Club from 10am-noon. Breakfast is $5 per person. Visitors can also learn how the “liquid gold” is made, from tree tapping to sap boiling, and watch 19th century open hearth cooking demonstrations of maple recipes in the historic Gilbert Farmhouse. Stick around for FREE docent-led tours and 19th Century craft demos.

Storrowton Village Museum celebrates all things maple on Maple Harvest Day every year in mid-March. The annual event highlights the history and tradition of maple sugaring in New England.

The West Springfield Lions Club will flip pancakes, served with pure New England maple syrup, in the Village’s red Greenwich Barn from 10am to noon. Pick up a plate for $5 per person, with a side of sausages and coffee or juice. All proceeds from the pancake breakfast will be donated to Storrowton’s educational programs. The historic Gilbert Farmhouse will turn into a sugarhouse for the day. Visitors can learn how the “liquid gold” is made, from tree tapping to sap boiling, and watch 19th century open hearth cooking demonstrations of maple recipes.
