Have you ever wanted to try snowshoeing but didn’t know where to begin? On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we’re offering a free snowshoeing clinic to share the basics of snowshoeing and a short, fun hike on one of the introductory trails. If there is no snow, we’ll hike the trails, making it a fun day out with family or friends, enjoying an invigorating hike on the best trails for beginner snowshoeing on Northfield Mountain. This clinic is for all ages and abilities. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy hiking boots.

Northfield Mountain is offering a season rental program for cross-country skis and snowshoes again this year. This program allows renters to ski and snowshoe anywhere.
Snowshoes, and a limited number of skis, boots, and poles will be available for day rental at the mountain this season when conditions permit us to open the trails for skiing.

While visiting Northfield Mountain for winter sports, please prepare thoroughly for your visit by familiarizing yourself with the following information:
~ Rental equipment will be available for seasonal rental from December 9th through January 7th with pickup and return by appointment made on our website. A limited supply of ski and snowshoe equipment will be available for rent when the ski area is open.
~ All visitors must display a trail pass while skiing or snowshoeing;
~ Trail passes, required for skiing and snowshoeing, may be purchased outside at the ticket window near the trailhead by VISA and MASTERCARD only, or online through the Trail Pass link on our website;
~ Lessons will not be offered this winter;
~ “Your car is your new ski lodge and warming hut”, Indoor restrooms will be available with no indoor changing, warming, or lounging areas.
