Open Hearth Cooking Demonstration: Indigenous Foods, The Three Sisters, and the Fall Harvest

Come visit our open-hearth cooks as they prepare “traditional” New England dishes made with Indigenous ingredients such as corn, beans, and squash.

Special Guest Cook, Angela Marcellino, a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe and author of The True Natives of Cape Cod and their Foodways, will be our guest cook for the day. Angela will prepare several of the dishes from her cookbook exploring food, identity, and place in New England.
