Saturday August 3rd is going to be a great day at the Better Living Center! We’ll have lots of former players from the Kings, Indians, Whalers, Falcons, and T-birds as well as some VIP’s on hand. We’ll have some incredible auction prizes and raffles, mascots, a team bus, adult beverages, awards, speakers, tables of vintage hockey gear and some amazing jerseys, and everyone gets a free Hockeyday program! It’s always the best day of the summer!
In addition to associating with Springfield legends, “Hockeyday” includes a raffle, a silent auction featuring rare Springfield hockey-related photos and historical memorabilia, and exclusive merchandise and apparel bearing some of the great Springfield hockey logos from years past.
“Hockeyday” is an annual celebration of professional hockey in the Pioneer Valley, boasting a rich history from 1926. Fans, player alums, and other hockey VIPs from the U.S. and Canada will gather in the Young Building on the Eastern States fairgrounds in West Springfield to share stories and celebrate the game.
The building sits a stone’s throw away from the Eastern States Coliseum, which played home to the Springfield Indians and Kings of the American Hockey League for over 50 years.
