Bread & Puppet Theater is excited to return to Massachusetts with a brand-new show created for this exact moment: The Hope Principle Show: Citizens’ Shame and Hope in the Time of Genocide. Of the show–director Peter Schumann says, “With mother dirt prologue, citizen despair gymnastics, massmurder victim’s traditional dance of death celebration, absentee humanity dance. Featuring a flock of disaster ravens and hope principle caribou and exorcism rites for the genociders.”
After the show Bread & Puppet will serve its famous sourdough rye bread with aioli, and Bread & Puppet’s “Cheap Art” – books, posters, postcards, pamphlets and banners from the Bread & Puppet Press – will be for sale.
