The International Volleyball Hall of Fame’s Morgan Classic is the premier annual four-team men’s collegiate tournament on the East Coast featuring some of the top NCAA teams in the country.
Springfield College will once again serve as host for the Annual International Volleyball Hall of Fame Morgan Classic, which will take place February 4-5 in Blake Arena.
In 1895, William G. Morgan invented the game of volleyball at the YMCA in Holyoke, MA. The game received its name during the first public exhibition at what is now Springfield College.
The International Volleyball Hall of Fame honors this pivotal occasion in the sports history with the Morgan Classic. This annual event kicks off with a tournament of the top collegiate talent on Friday night.
The Classic weekend activities culminate at the tournament championship match Saturday night, where the winners from the Friday night matches battle it out for the annual Morgan Classic Championship title.
This action-packed weekend commemorates the heritage of our sport, by celebrating its founder and recognizing the talent of our college athletes, given with honor by the International Volleyball Hall of Fame as the launch event of its fundraising year.
