Holyoke, Massachusetts (aka Volleyball City) is the birthplace of volleyball and the Volleyball City Grass Open celebrates that heritage with a 2-day, fun filled, event for players of all ages and skill levels competing for amazing prizes in the largest grass volleyball tournament in Western Massachusetts!
Grass courts make for a game that is fast and powerful. Players must be able to pass dropping jump serves and dig hard-driven attacks. Defense is tough because two players have to cover the entire court. The fast play, competition, prize money, and bragging rights, make for the perfect storm of memorable battles.
Playing volleyball outdoors is a great way to work on all phases of your game. Multiple divisions ensure you can find the skill level that best suits you, from recreational play for fun all the way up to open/pro.
Center Court will have music and an announcer all day to highlight the exciting plays and keep the crowd energy at a peak.
