The Zoo is open on July 4th from 10-4 with last admission at 3:30. Spend your holiday at The Zoo!
July 5: Nancy’s Nature Nook. Meet us at the Lemur Stage at 10:30, 11 and 11:30 for animal-themed story times with our board member, Nancy. Free with admission.

Participate in interactive activities, including mini games, trivia and crafts, from 10-1. Hosted by friends from Burkhart Pizzanelli.

GET WILD AT ZOO CAMP!
At The Zoo in Forest Park’s Summer Zoo Camp, kids get to explore nature, learn about animals and make new friends. Limited space available.
July 7-11: 4 spots
July 21-25: 4 spots
Zoo Camp is for kids ages 6-13. Camp runs weekdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Activities may include:
- Animal Circle – meet a new highlighted animal each day
- Diet Prep Demonstrations – see what goes into preparing diets for over 225 animals at The Zoo
- Enrichment Activities – create toys and foraging games for the goats, sheep, birds and other animals!
- Hike Forest Park
- Participate in STEAM Activities
- Create and Write
- Arts & Crafts

Tickets can be purchased at The Zoo gate upon arrival. Reminder that the City of Springfield charges $3/in-state plate and $5/out-of-state plate, cash only, to park. Parking is not included in the price of admission to The Zoo.
