Take an in-depth look at a historic firearm, followed by a blank firing demonstration. Call ahead to confirm, inclement weather cancels outside demonstration.

National Park Week: Make a Postcard

Make a postcard to send to your friends and family, read with a ranger, and complete an activity book to become a Jr Ranger.

ABOUT THE PARK: Springfield Armory National Historic Site is the location of the nation’s first armory (1794 – 1968) and was established by George Washington. The site includes historic grounds, buildings, and the world’s largest historic American military firearms collection.

There is no entrance fee to visit Springfield Armory National Historic Site. The Museum is open Wednesday-Sunday, 9:30am-4:00pm.
