The Springfield Armory, Exhibit
August 11, 2021 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm EDT
Springfield Armory, in partnership with the International Fiber Collaborative, presents “Stronger Together”, a student art exhibit.
Twelve schools with students from as far away as Colstrip, Montana and as close as Easthampton MA, created art based around the theme “Stronger Together.” Each student or group of students interpreted this theme in a different way and each week we will post examples of their work. The past year has been difficult, but, after viewing this artwork, we can truly say that we are “Stronger Together!”
The artwork is on display in our museum through August 29, 2021.
The museum operating hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 9:30am to 4:00pm. Monday and Tuesday: CLOSED. Consistent with CDC guidance regarding areas of substantial/high transmission, park visitors, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask inside all park buildings.
ABOUT THE PARK: Springfield Armory National Historic Site is the location of the nation’s first armory (1794 – 1968) and was established by George Washington. The site includes historic grounds, buildings, and the world’s largest historic American military firearms collection.
