temp NE Air mus sikorsky

Join us Saturdays in February for interactive programs for all ages surrounding our new Sikorsky exhibit! Programs include exhibit tours, build your own rotocopter, climb aboard a helicopter, and more!

The “Through the Eyes of Igor Sikorsky” exhibition, which chronicles decades of genius, painting a vivid portrait of one man’s tireless quest to enhance the human condition—and break the bonds of gravity—through technology. From helicopters to amphibian aircraft, flying boats, rotary wing aircraft, and more, Sikorsky left an indelible mark on aviation.

Best known for pioneering the helicopter industry and building the world’s first practical helicopter, Sikorsky made innumerable contributions to air rescue, our military, and much more. While he left us in 1972, Igor Sikorsky’s spirit and legacy live on today through the company he built, which is still located in Stratford, CT, and employs thousands of people.
