The New England Air Museum is raffling an opportunity for three lucky people to re-live history and take flight in a P-51 “Red Tail” Mustang, the aircraft flown by the famous Tuskegee Airmen during World War II.
The museum is bringing the Commemorative Air Force’s Red Tail P-51 Mustang and traveling theater to the museum to celebrate the opening of our new exhibit, The Tuskegee Airmen: Their Untold Stories, on June 4, 2023.
Proceeds will go to the Commemorative Air Force to support their ongoing programs.
The flights will take off from Signature Flight Support at Bradley International Airport, across from the Museum, flights will be scheduled between May 30 – June 2. Raffle tickets are $100 each. Winners will be contacted Friday, May 26, 2023.
The upcoming Tuskegee exhibit will feature a theater and compelling original film about the airmen: the excellence with which they performed defending our county while also fighting a “second war”— a fight against systemic racism and discrimination before, during, and after World War II. The Tuskegee Airmen also laid the groundwork for the foundation of the Civil Rights Movement of the1960s. They changed the world, and if we keep their story alive, they will continue to do so.
