Symphony Hall, “Now You See Them, Soon You Won’t”

MGM Springfield is bringing comedians Steve Martin and Martin Short to Symphony Hall on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 8 p.m. Martin, and Short, will present new material in a variety of musical sketches and conversations about their careers in a show entitled “Now You See Them, Soon You Won’t.”
As an actor, comedian, author, playwright, screenwriter, producer and musician—Steve Martin is one of the most diversified performers and acclaimed artists of his generation. Martin’s work has earned him an Academy Award, five Grammy awards, an Emmy, the Mark Twain Award, an AFI Lifetime Achievement Award and the Kennedy Center Honors. He has also hosted the Academy Awards three times.
Martin Short, a celebrated comedian and actor, has won fans and accolades in television, film and theater since his breakout season on “Saturday Night Live” over 30 years ago. Short won his first Emmy in 1982 while working on Canada’s SCTV Comedy Network, and as an accomplished stage actor has also won a Tony Award, Theatre World and an Outer Critics Circle Award.
Steve Martin and Martin Short’s Netflix special titled “An Evening You Will Forget For The Rest Of Your Life” received four Emmy nominations.
