Smith College Museum of Art, Tulip Planting

November 1 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EDT

Join Amanda Williams, the Smith College Museum of Art, and the Botanic Garden of Smith College on Monday, November 1, when we will collectively plant more than 4000 tulips along three desired or remembered paths.

The planting is part of An Imposing Number of Times (2020–22), a multifaceted artwork Williams created specifically for Smith that explores how campus traditions create and transmit forms of belonging.

Stop by anytime and stay for as much time as you like. No experience with art or gardening required.

Monday, November 1 (rain day: Wednesday, November 3)
8am–10:30am: Happy Chace ’28 Garden (next to the President’s House)
10:30am–1pm: Chapin Lawn
1–4pm: Seelye Lawn
