New Experiences for Holiday in the Park 2019

Holiday in the Park 2019 is the biggest, brightest, and best holiday event we’ve ever hosted! This year we’re introducing new and updated attractions to expand the magic like never before. Here are the elves’ favorite experiences that even Scrooge will want to see.

• More lights than ever before – over 1 million
• Never-before-offered walk-through light display
• New Snowball Throw game with updated prizes
• Biggest menu of holiday treats we’ve ever offered
• Enhanced S’mores cookie experience
• New Holiday Bear toy drive

Holiday in the Park will be the most enchanting time to visit the park, with exclusive entertainment you can’t get any other time of year.

Not only will you celebrate alongside your favorite Looney Tunes characters dressed in their Christmas-best, but at Holiday in the Park you have the opportunity to meet toy soldiers, sing along with our roaming and charismatic carolers, take a peek at what’s hiding under the tree with our ebullient elves, and visit the North Pole, where you can meet the most famous couple of all – Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus!

The best way to get on Santa’s nice list this year is to come visit him in person! The jolliest fellow of the season is landing his sleigh at Holiday in the Park. His holly jolly helpers will set up Santa’s Workshop, perfectly recreating all the magic of the North Pole.

You’ll find a cozy corner full of wrapped toys, carefully arranged artisan ornaments, and of course, a big plush chair for the big man himself! Tell Santa your biggest Christmas wish and take a souvenir photo to commemorate the magical moment. Be sure to reserve your time to visit before St. Nick finishes making his list and checking it twice.

Once you’ve made your holiday rounds, make some time to immerse yourself in one of the countless electrifying light displays. Take in the breathtaking sights and sounds synchronized to your favorite holiday tunes! Share a moment with that special someone underneath a stunning string of mistletoe, or gather with family and friends around a crackling holiday fire pit, where you can warm up while watching a choreographed light show or cook s’mores to perfection.

Looking to add a dose of thrill to your holiday wish list? We can make that happen. Dive, flip, and twist through GOTHAM CITY™ on BATMAN THE DARK KNIGHT™, test your luck – and your fears – on THE JOKER™ 4D Free Fly Coaster, or take a relaxing train ride through a winter wonderland on the New England Express. While some attractions will be closed for the season, Holiday in the Park offers a diverse ride profile for all ages, check back soon for the full list of Holiday in the Park rides.

Santa’s sleigh is no match for the thrills of the mighty Thunderbolt. As you rise 70 feet in the air, try to catch a glimpse of Santa’s reindeer – viewing the sparkling scene from their eyes – before you plummet back down. You’ll sled around overbanked turns and skate down drops, left and right like you’re dodging flying snowballs in the night sky.

With a top speed of 40 miles per hour, you will almost certainly beat Mr. Claus down the chimney this Christmas. Even Rudolph will be green as the Grinch with envy about this exciting sleigh ride.

While a ride on Santa’s Sleigh is certainly the fastest way to get around this holiday season, we have the next best thing. Grab a ride on the New England Express, a yule log-powered locomotive that will take you on a magical journey through the red and white striped wonderland that is Candy Cane Crossing.

You’ll see whimsical holiday scenery and twinkling lights along the way that are sure to put you in the spirit of the season. And if you listen closely, you may even here some Ho-Ho-Hos over the chugging of this enchanted choo choo.

What good is a holiday celebration without the phenomenal holiday food? Thankfully, we have everything you need in order to delight in all the wonderful tastes and aromas of the season. From fireside S’mores and other tasty seasonal treats to hot chocolate and coffee, our Holiday in the Park-exclusive culinary treats will have you hoping the winter season never leaves.

New this season we will offer a more delectable graham cookie to make the ultimate s’more even better. Start roasting your marshmallow just the way you like it for the merriest and meltiest treat this side of the North Pole.

Get Unlimited Hot Chocolate Refills: Buy our refillable hot cocoa mug and get unlimited free refills on the day of purchase, plus $1.99 refills the rest of the winter!

Need to do some last-minute shopping for that superhero-loving, thrill-seeking relative? Stop by one of our many retail locations to peruse specialty DC holiday stockings, or be the life of the party with our ugly sweaters and holiday t-shirts. Whether it’s completing your holiday wardrobe or filling stockings for family and friends, we have all that you need this holiday season!
