Seed, sow, celebrate! Enjoy the outdoors while we celebrate the Earth. This weekend, join us for discussions on the changing climate, the history of New England’s environment, sustainability, and more. Enjoy a walk through the woods, watch our pollinators hard at work, and see if our gardeners and farmers need help preparing for the growing season ahead. Highlights include:
- Help our gardeners prepare for another growing season
- See special craft demonstrations like making watering cans in the Tin Shop, flower pots in the Pottery Shop, and garden tools in the Blacksmith Shop
- Meet visiting teams of oxen and try your hand at plowing (Saturday and Sunday only)
- Watch demonstrations of seasonal cooking and preservation
- Take home a FREE seed paper bookmark
- Enjoy special talks and tours like
- Native plants (Friday)
- Pollinator Friendly Practices (Friday or Sunday)
- Guided Nature Awareness Walk (Friday or Sunday)
- Meet OSV’s Beekeeper (Saturday)
