Norman Rockwell Museum, Mother’s Day

May 11 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm EDT

Wonderful Mother’s Day Weekend Experience

Guided Tour of the historic Studio where Rockwell painted, corresponded, posed models, and even napped for more than 20 years, creating iconic works on view in the Museum. Archival materials, photographs, and records offer visitors a step back in time to when Rockwell was actively painting.

Rockwell called his Stockbridge studio, his “best studio yet.” The building was originally located in the backyard of his home on South Street in Stockbridge, Mass. In 1976, toward the end of his life, Rockwell left the studio and its contents to Norman Rockwell Museum. The building was cut in two and moved to the Museum’s grounds in 1986.

Tours of Norman Rockwell’s Studio are available daily (except on Wednesdays), advanced online reservations are recommended.  Reservations are scheduled in 20-minute increments. You may visit the main Museum galleries before and/or after your Studio time.

The perfect gift???  Look no further, the perfect Mother’s Day afternoon is right here at Norman Rockwell Museum! Explore art the whole family will love. Enjoy the heartwarming images of family and mothers, included in so many of Norman Rockwell’s illustrations! Share a visit together, and/or your fond memories.
