March 16 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Norman Rockwell Museum presents “Rockwell on Libations,” Saturday, March 16, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The first in the new series, “Art Insiders: Learn and Create,” Saturday’s program will focus on four of Rockwell’s beer and spirits advertisements with a “behind the scenes” viewing of archival artworks and a vintage TV commercial starring Norman, himself. A beer label design session taught by staff educator and illustrator Patrick O’Donnell plus a beer tasting with Pittsfield’s Wandering Star Craft Brewery will follow.

“In this four part series, participants will view Rockwell images brought out of the archives specifically for each event,” explained Mary Berle, Chief Educator, Norman Rockwell Museum. “Art Insiders offers attendees an opportunity to learn the stories behind the images, glean insights into Rockwell’s approach to art, and engage in a creative experience.”
Attendees must be 21 or older. Tickets for “Rockwell on Libations” are $25 / $15 members, or $85 / $50 members for the series. Reservations required: Register@nrm.org or call 413-931-2221.
The remaining three events in the series will bring iconic Rockwell images out of the archives in time to welcome spring, celebrate motherhood, and pay homage to baseball. For more information about the talks: “Rockwell on Spring” (March 20 and 31), “Rockwell Celebrates Motherhood” (May 2 and 5), and “Rockwell on Baseball” (June 15 and 18), visit www.nrm.org/events.
