MassWildlife, Cops and Bobbers

56th Annual Youth Fishing Derby with Cops & Bobbers, Hooks & Ladders Program on Saturday, April 27,  7:30 a.m. to noon, Forest Park, Barney Pond. This event is intended for children 12 and under and their families.Learn the basics of fishing at the free fishing clinic, then join in for a fun day of fishing in Forest Park with police and safety officials and members of the community.Kids will fish in a stocked pond. Fishing equipment will be provided if needed, basic fishing lessons will be offered, trophies awarded for catching a tagged trout, prizes and raffles given out through the day. Don’t miss this chance to meet and fish with your local police and safety officials. Derby held rain or shine.

This event is in cooperation with the Springfield Elks, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Springfield Parks Department.
