Holyoke, Canal System Walking Tour

May 14 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT

Bob Comeau will once again narrate a wonderfully informative walking tour of the Holyoke Canal System. Join us for a tour of the 1st and 2nd level canals and learn about the canal system from how it was built in the 1800’s to its continued use today. It’s also a great way to help you reach your daily goal of 10,000 steps!

Since this is a walking tour, please dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes. Be prepared to walk about 2.5 miles.

If you have taken this tour before, Bob will be highlighting new sites and new information and will answer your questions. Join us again! It’s a great way to help you get those “10,000 steps” in and meet new friends and meet those who are interested in Holyoke’s history!!

The walking tour will begin on Dwight Street by the Holyoke Heritage Park. You may park in the Holyoke City Hall parking lot.

No need to print ticket. Attendance will be taken at the event.

RAIN DATE: You will receive an email if the event is postponed due to weather or unexpected circumstances.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation (no matter how small) to help the Holyoke Preservation Trust with offering more free cultural and historical events and workshop materials.
