Connecticut Science Center, Workshop

An event every day that begins at 11:00 am, repeating until April 24, 2022
We’ve taken our popular at-home STEM in a Box program and brought it into the Connecticut Science Center as a LIVE hands-on workshop experience. You and your family members will join our STEM education team for a 90-minute hands-on activity workshop complete with enhanced projects and materials. After the Workshop, you will take home your creation and all extra materials so you can continue experimenting on your own. Plus, you and your family will get to enjoy the remainder of the day having fun exploring more than 165 exhibits here in the Science Center.
THIS WORKSHOP: DNA Discovery
In celebration of DNA Days, we are going to put you into the shoes of a Geneticist to help the Science Center team analyze genes from actual DNA. When finished, you’ll be leaving with real science equipment to conduct your own strawberry DNA extraction and continue the exploration at home.
This experience is a 90-minute workshop recommended for families with children ages 7-12. We have three packages available:
- Includes workshop for 2 Children and 1-2 accompanying adults
- Science Center General Admission Tickets included for up to 4 people
- Includes workshop for 1 Child and 1-2 accompanying adults
- Science Center General Admission Tickets included for up to 3 people
Option 3: 1 Kid – Workshop Only
- Includes workshop for 1 Child and 1-2 accompanying adults
- This is a Workshop experience only, Science Center Tickets are NOT included
