Connecticut Science Center, Hands on Learning
November 4 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT
It’s time to re-establish our STEM/STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) and CTE instructional spaces and, insure everything is safer for the new school year.
Our students best learn in a hands-on, inquiry-based environment that is safer and up-to-date. Under Duty or Standard of Care, we are required to protect our students by providing safer teaching/learning experiences by applying up-to-date standard operating procedures or SOPs. Remember, just because things are moving toward a some what more normal situation, does not mean that they are normal. Take the time to make things right and safer.
This virtual safety workshop will focus on critical SOPs that need to be addressed for teachers of (STEM/STEAM) science, technology education & engineering, art, math, Career & Technical Education.
This workshop will be instructed by internationally recognized science/STEM laboratory safety compliance specialist and researcher Dr. Ken R. Roy. He serves as the Chief Safety Compliance consultant for the NSTA and safety consultant for ITEEA. He also is the Director of Environmental Health & Safety for Glastonbury Public Schools (CT).
