We also have two new movies playing in the Maximilian E. and Marion O. Hoffman Foundation Science Theater, Amazon Adventure and Backyard Wilderness:
Amazon Adventure tells the true story of explorer Henry Bates’ epic 11 year journey through the visually stunning and bio-diverse Amazon rainforest. Bates unearths the major phenomenon of mimicry, identifies over 8,000 species new to science, and puts the first ever case for the creation of a new species.
Amazon Adventure will play Tuesday-Friday at 1PM and 3PM, and on Saturday and Sunday at 11AM, 1PM, and 3PM through November 22nd.
Backyard Wilderness follows Katie, a young girl, and her family living next to the woods who are blind to the real-life spectacle around them, absorbed by an array of electronic devices in their busy lives. Katie gradually discovers the intricate secrets that nature has hidden so close to her front door and we experience the joy she finds in her interactions with this new world.
Backyard Wilderness will play Tuesday-Friday at 2PM and 4PM, and on Saturday and Sunday at 12PM, 2PM, and 4PM through November 22nd.
