Come on down to the annual Christmas Tree Lighting event in Downtown Chicopee! As we illuminate our magnificent tree, the glow of the holiday spirit will brighten the evening.
The city’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony runs from 4:30 to about 6 p.m. at City Hall. Santa Claus is expected to arrive with Mayor John Vieau at 5 p.m., who will both light the tree, commencing the beginning of the holiday season.
After the lighting, families will move into the City Hall auditorium, where they can meet and greet with Santa, and enjoy performances from the Victory Chapel Choir, Victoria Narvaez, the Chicopee High School marching band and Vibe Dance Center.
