Alzheimer’s Talk: Defeating Dementia: Shaping Our Future Through Research

Speaker: Alison J. McManus DNP, FNP-BC, CPI, Clinical Research Nursing Manager at the Alzheimer’s Clinical & Translational Research Unit

For the fourth year in a row, the Kaleidoscope series and the Alzheimer’s Association of Western Massachusetts have teamed up to bring you up-to-date information regarding new findings in Alzheimer’s research. Past talks have focused on Brain Health, New Research, New Diagnostics and the Importance of Planning and Navigating Care.

The mission of the Alzheimer’s Association is to eliminate Alzheimer’s through the work of researchers around the globe. The 2019 AlzTalks series features local researchers who will discuss: brain changes associated with memory loss and different types of dementia, early detection, risk factors and lifestyle interventions, and clinical trials.

THIS PROGRAM IS RECOMMENDED FOR EVERYONE, STUDENTS, TEACHERS, NURSES, MEDICAL ASSISTANTS, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS, THOSE IN PSYCHOLOGY AND SOCIAL WORK, AND INTERESTED FAMILIES AND CAREGIVERS.
