Join us for a 4-day/3-night kayak camping adventure on the Connecticut River.
9/1 We will meet at 9am at the Sunderland Library and shuttle over to the Vernon Dam. The program will start at the put-in below the Vernon Dam and we will paddle approximately 10 miles to the Munn’s Ferry Campground where we will overnight.
9/2 We will paddle from Munn’s Ferry through the French King Gorge on our way to Barton Cove. Overnight at Barton Cove Campground.
9/3 Portage around Turner’s Falls dam and then paddle along the Pocumtuck Range from the confluence with the Deerfield River to a campsite in Sunderland.
9/4 A relaxed camp morning and a short paddle to the Sunderland ramp where the program ends. We will have a quick shuttle ride from the ramp to the Sunderland Library.
Total paddling: 36 miles.
