The Perseid meteor shower, or the Perseids, is one of the most popular and highly anticipated meteor showers of the year. Join us for a magical evening paddle on the Connecticut River as we paddle under the expansive, shower-filled sky.

Departing from Poplar Street at 8pm and proceeding to the Sunderland boat ramp, this four-hour paddle will pass through the most remote stretch of the Connecticut River in Massachusetts with the darkest skies, allowing us an incredible opportunity to paddle under the Perseids at its peak. Adventure East reserves the right to evaluate all paddlers for skill levels and group dynamics to make a final decision on suitability for the experience. Fitness Level: Moderate – Able to paddle at a moderate pace for 45 minutes, able to swim at least 10 yards cross-current unassisted. Skill Level: Intermediate – Previous tour kayaking experience or an Adventure East Intro to Kayaking course completion is required.
