Adventure East, Hike
January 15 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm EST
Winter is a beautiful time to enjoy a walk in the woods and you don’t need to be a expert to don a pair of snowshoes or micro spikes to make the experience an enjoyable one. We’ll help you gear up and take your first steps in our equipment making it possible to walk on snow and ice.
Once we get going, we’ll explore the beauty of the winter forest and connect to the healing powers of nature. We’ll discover the abundance of life in the forest. With tree and bird identification as well as wildlife tracking, we can begin to know our natural world more intimately.
Join us as we explore the trails on the west side of Mount Warner, overlooking the Connecticut River Valley and Lake Warner. This 500-acre conservation is home to some of the best views of historic North Hadley.
Starting at the the trailhead on Mount Warner Road, we will hike along the Salamander Loop Trail for approximately 2 hours.
Your participation in this adventure directly supports Trustees of the Reservations and their mission to preserve open space and provide access to outdoor recreation.
