The Springfield Thunderbirds are a professional ice hockey team in the AHL Atlantic Division and the affiliate of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues. Based in Springfield, Massachusetts, the Thunderbirds play their home games at the MassMutual Center.

In operation since 1936, the AHL serves as the top development league for the players, coaches, managers, executives and broadcasters of every National Hockey League organization. Nearly 90 percent of today’s NHL players are American Hockey League graduates, and more than 100 honored members of the Hockey Hall of Fame spent time in the AHL in their careers.

The Thunderbirds are proud to offer free parking inside the Civic Center garage (on a first-come, first-served basis) for all home games made possible by the Springfield Parking Authority.
